The Raptors second Summer League game airs today at 4 pm. The Raptors face a Pistons team that features NBAers Will Bynum and a favorite of yours truly, Sean Singletary and their rookies Daye, Summers, and Jerebko. The Raptors lost their first Summer League game to the Lakers in a close one, 85-84. The Arsenalist had a nice live blog of the game over at Raptors Republic.
Today the Raptors game will be streamed live courtesy of the folks over at Raptors Forum. Make sure to watch it!
Players to look out for:
Smush Parker: Looked alot better than Ukic in the first game. If Parker keeps this up he could very well be our backup PG next season.
DeMar DeRozan: Looked great in his first game as a professional. DeRozan had 10 points and 5 rebounds playing the SF position since Douby was playing SG. However, DeRozan also had 5 PF and 3 turnovers which he will need to improve on during the rest of the summer league.
Quincy Douby: Had a bad first half but recovered in the second half and eventually scored 16 points but Douby missed a coule key FT that could have won Toronto the game. Douby is looking like he will be a solid bench player for the Raps.
Brent Petway: He is an athletic freak and it showed last night. Highlight dunks are exciting but f Brent wants a spot on the Raptors bench next fall he will have to show he can do more than just dunk.
Shawn Taggart: Taggart was a great player at Memphis and has the talent to be in the NBA. Taggart has to show that he can be consistent and that he is strong enough to matchup with NBA bigmen.
