It took some extra time, but Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to dispose of the Toronto Raptors 126-118 on Friday night in front of a sold out Air Canada Center crowd.  The Cavs were lead by none other than the King LBJ, who dropped 36, while the Raptors were lead by Bargnani and Jack who poured in 24 a piece.

Coming off of a loss against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, the Raptors will have another tough challenge tonight as the first place Cleveland Cavaliers roll into the Air Canada Center with an impressive mark of 45-14. Without franchise player Chris Bosh for the third consecutive game the Toronto Raptors were simply no match for the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night losing 101 – 87.  The loss not only dropped the Raptors to 31-25 on the season, it also ended their 20-game streak of scoring at least 100 or more points.

For the Raptors, it will be the first game since Saturday night when they came from behind to defeat the Washington Wizards 109-104.  For the Blazers, the game will be the second of a back-to-back as they take on the lowly New Jersey Nets tonight at the Izod Center.

For the first time all season the Toronto Raptors were without their leader and all-star power forward Chris Bosh.  The end result, a victory. Yes, the main factor leading into this was the fact that their opponent was the league’s worst team -the New Jersey Nets -but a large portion of the win can also be accredited to the play of one individual. The Toronto Raptors will be back in action on Friday night against divisional rivals the New Jersey Nets.
