76ers at Raptors – Game Preview

In their final game before the all-star break, the Toronto Raptors will play host to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at the Air Canada Center. The game will be the second of four meetings between the two teams, with the Raptors taking the first contest 108-106 thanks to some late game heroics by Chris Bosh.

Coming into this one, the Raptors have won seven of their last eight, including a 115-104 win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday afternoon.  Although not yet confirmed, Reggie Evans is slated to make his Raptors regular season debut on Wednesday night against his former club. Even though his minutes will most likely be limited, the presence of Evans can only help to make the Raptors a better defensive team, an area that they can undoubtedly always use improvement in.  His availability should also help to create a constructive battle for minutes between several of the Raptors big men, hopefully producing a higher level of play.

This stop in Toronto will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Philadelphia 76ers who have turned up their play as of late, and find themselves on a 5-game winning streak. The Sixers will however be without veteran guard Allen Iverson who has missed some time tending to the illness of one of his children.

Tip off is at 7PM EST. Be sure to check back on Raptors Rapture for my post-game summary and fans perspective.  Go Raps Go!
