On Sunday evening the Toronto Raptors once again showed their shortfalls on the defensive end: poor perimeter coverage, weak boarding ability. Luckily, the end result was nowhere near as ugly as it was against both the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors.
The final this time, a 109-98 loss to the impressive Portland Trail Blazers, with the Raptors remaining in the contest until about the 2 minute point of the 4th quarter. The Raptors were led by Chris Bosh who was a force on the offensive end but nowhere to be found on the glass -pouring in 28 points while only grabbing 7 rebounds. The Blazers on the other hand were led by Aldridge and Batum who both put up 22 in a winning cause.
The road trip is finally over for the Toronto Raptors, with most fans hoping for a 2-2 trip, being forced to settle for 0-4. The Raptors next play on Wednesday when the Atlanta Hawks come to the ACC, to present the Raptors their final chance to take down the Hawks this season.
Raptors Player of the Game
Amir Johnson – 13 points, 6 rebounds
Fans Perspective
Wow that was an incredibly painful road trip. Hopefully the Raptors can surprise us all with a couple of motivational wins against the Hawks and Thunder, before the schedule finally eases off for two -with stops in New Jersey and Minnesota. Stay patient Raptors fans.
