Game Preview: Raptors At Atlanta

Well the monkey is still on the Raptors back headed into tonight’s tough road game against the Hawks.  Twelve straight road loses and things only get worse for the Raptors.

The recent batch of bad winter weather had stranded the Raptors in Indianapolis until earlier today, adding a further blow to the Raptors’ chances of beating a Hawks team who has had their number in recent history.

Atlanta has won nine of the last eleven meetings between the two teams and are fresh of a 104-101 victory against the Raptors in January, when Mike Bibby hit a dagger three to crush the Raptors upset bid.

The Raptors will be looking for DeMar DeRozan and Andrea Bargnani to get back on track. Bargnani and DeRozan are both averaging a full five points less than their season averages and it appears as if fatigue is effecting their performance.

Coach Triano addressed the issue saying, “”It’s my fault (they’re struggling) probably because I had to play the (expletive) out of them for nine games in a row when we had no other bodies, so they played 44 minutes per game and are probably worn down a little bit.”

The game is at 7 P.M EST and will be on TSN2 in Canada and SportSouth in the United States.
