Javaris Crittenton Charged With Murder

It is sad to report that former Washington Wizards guard and Georgia Tech standout Javaris Crittenton has been charged with murder in the shooting of a 23 year old woman on Friday night.

The police report goes as follows:

Jones was walking with others near 2915 Macon Drive in southwest Atlanta around 10 p.m. Aug. 19 when she was shot, Campos said. Jones, a mother of three, was struck in the hip and later died during surgery.

Two men walking with Jones fled and were not injured.

Investigators do not believe Jones was the intended target. Crittenton may have been seeking retaliation after being robbed April 21, 2011, Campos said.

Crittenton was famously involved in the infamous Washington Wizards “Pick One” incident when he and Gilbert Arenas were involved in a altercation over a gambling debt where both players pulled handguns on each other.
