NBA Trade Rumors: Toronto Raptors receive Sebastian Telfair from Phoenix Suns for Hamed Haddadi?

There’s chatter this AM about the Raps being the front-runners for Sebastian Telfair, who’s a smallish veteran point guard. This deal, should it occur, is best summarized by the Trade Machine. It opined the deal would have no effect on either team.

Telfair is out of the rotation in Arizona, and would probably welcome a move. I’m assuming Haddadi would go the other way, as he’ll never play for the Raps, and the salaries match. Perhaps the Suns might find him useful.

It’s good to acquire another guard as insurance, so I’d do this trade. I hope we’re not sending out John Lucas, though.

Raps get depth at PG for someone who will never play for them, who was a throw in from Memphis deal. Makes sense, but very minor deal.
