Results of Raptors Free Agents POLL - well done, Rapture Nation!

Apr 30, 2014; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey talks to guard Kyle Lowry (7) and guard Greivis Vasquez (21) and forward Patrick Patterson (54) during a break in the action against the Brooklyn Nets in game five of the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs at the Air Canada Centre. We offered a Poll recently, in which readers were invited to advise Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri on our free agents. Specifically, you were asked to tell Masai which one(s), if any, should not be re-signed. Since the Poll was released, we’ve learned that all the nominees were offered contracts. In other words, Masai likes them all – and so did you. The vote was overwhelmingly in favour of bringing back every one of Kyle Lowry, Patrick Patterson, Greivis Vasquez and Nando De Colo. Of those who voted to toss someone overboard, it was the newest Raptor, De Colo, who was told most often to get wet. A significant number of you thought Lowry would be too expensive, and there were scattered non-fans of Patterson and Vasquez.

So far, this off-season has been almost too good to be true. Every player we (yes, I’m with the majority on this topic – bring ‘em all home) want to return has indicated he’s going to do so. I can’t wait for July 10, when all of these announced agreements become actual signed contracts.

Thanks to everyone who voted, and watch for a new Poll shortly.
