        Canada’s only team has finally nabbed their first Canadian player in their franchise’s existence. Jamaal Maglorie is coming to play for the Raptors. Maglorie will likely be used to fill the space that is left by Jonas Valanciunas’, who is spending one more season in Lithuania before starting his career in Toronto. Probably Jonas’ best effort on the big stage, and it was against Chris Kaman and Dirk who aren’t slouches by any stretch of the imagination. Impressive defense and flashes of brilliance in the post.

Jonas finally had a breakout game in the Eurobasket second round putting up 18 pts, 5 rbs, 1 assist, 1 steal, and two blocks in 19 minutes against the Nenad Kristic led Serbians.

Sonny Weems has made the jump. Over the last few days much speculation has been made about Sonny Weems’ and his status with the Raptors, the Raptors did offer Weems a qualifying offer on his expiring RFA contract and were presumably close on resigning the up and coming shooting guard.
