Today’s player analysis will focus upon the 2009-10 contributions of the Raptors franchise player Chris Bosh. Bosh has been with the organization for seven years, each year better establishing himself as one of the most dominant power forwards currently playing in the NBA. 2009-10 was of no exception to that, as Bosh showed the magic a little extra effort in the gym over the off-season can do on the level of performance an athlete can display on the court. It’s Bosh’s steady improvement that will undoubtedly make him the 3rd most coveted player in this season’s free-agent class -behind only [...]

Toronto Raptors – Season Review
With the Toronto Raptors 2009-2010 campaign coming to a much earlier halt than I had expected, I am now given the honor of reviewing what exactly transpired over the course of the season rather then pumping you up for a first-round playoff series. This entry will be focused on the team as a whole, something that only seems fitting to do the day after official locker clean-out. Just incase you haven’t seen the interviews yet, be sure to stop by the Raptors official website for full-length interviews from Bosh, Bargnani, Jack, Calderon, Turkoglu, and Triano -all of which seemed to [...]
It’s April 9th, and if you told me two months ago that at this point the 2-1 Blue Jays would be the team playing the best in Toronto, I would have said you are crazy. But here we are, and that is the case. For those of you still on the Raptors bandwagon their dreadfully difficult stretch continues tonight when they take on the Atlanta Hawks in the wonderful state of Georgia. For the two clubs it will be the final meeting of the season, with the Hawks taking 2 of the first 3.
Both Hedo Turkoglu and Chris Bosh are [...]
The Raptors chances of making the playoffs took a series hit yesterday when all-star Chris Bosh hit the floor of the Quicken Loans Arena in the first quarter. Fortunately for the Raptors, the 9th place Chicago Bulls don’t seem to be in too much of a rush to take over the 8th seed that the Raptors currently hold, as they too managed to lose yesterday at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks 79-74. Meaning that the Toronto Raptors will enter tonight’s contest with the Boston Celtics still with a full 1 game lead -plus the tiebreaker -over the Bulls with [...]
Raptors Lose Game & Bosh
It was with 9:52 left in the 1st quarter, that the already doubtful hearts of Raptor fans were officially squashed when all-star Chris Bosh fell to the ground in grimacing pain. After covering the floor with blood, Bosh was not only escorted off the court, but also to a local Cleveland clinic to have a cat scan done on his nose and cheek. No results have been released yet, but one can only hope that Bosh’s absence will be limited to just this one game.
Despite a spirited effort led by Jarrett Jack who put up 23, the Raptors fell to [...]
To be honest, I am far from in the mood to write a blog to summarize the game that just finished between our beloved Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors. Like many other Raptor fans I’m sure, I am absolutely devastated by this loss and especially in the fashion it came. For those of you who missed it, please take the time to watch the highlights.
I will just tell you this much before I return to my heartache and fear of what lies ahead:
- Final Score: Warriors (113) – Raptors (112)
- Leading Scorers: Maggette (31) – Bosh (42)
- Leading [...]
After a very questionable first half, the Toronto Raptors led by their all-star Chris Bosh were able to power past the lowly Los Angeles Clippers 114-92 on Wednesday night at the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors left fans pacing the floors when they went into the half-time break stuck 5 to one of the worst road teams in the league who just happened to be playing without their starting point guard.
Luckily for Raptor fans, the second half was a completely different story as the Raptors were able to outscore the Clips by 27 over the final two quarters. As previously [...]
For the third game in a row, the Toronto Raptors found themselves in a game that was decided in the final seconds. For the first time in those three, the Raptors walked off the court with a win -one that every Raptor fan knows was desperately needed. The final in this one was the Toronto Raptors 103, the Charlotte Bobcats 101.
With the win, the Raptors remain in the 8th seed of the Eastern Conference and once again hold a bit of breathing room -albeit only 1 game -over the 9th seeded Bulls. The W also keeps the Raptors in contention [...]
Things in Raptorland have shifted. Unfortunately, its not from bad to good. It’s shifted from ugly to heartbreaking. For the second consecutive game the Toronto Raptors squandered a lead they held going into the 4th quarter, this time at the hands of the Miami Heat 97-94. The lead reached it’s peak in the 3rd quarter when the Raptors took a 16 point advantage, but quickly dissipated and fully collapsed when the Raptors ran a 3:27 span without a single point.
To make matters even worse, both the Milwaukee Bucks, and more importantly the Chicago Bulls were victorious in Sunday play. For [...]
After being absolutely demolished by the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors entered Friday’s contest with the Denver Nuggets as the heavy underdogs despite being on their own home floor. To help combat that, head coach Jay Triano made several changes to the Raptors starting line-up, inserting both Antoine Wright and Sonny Weems for rookie DeMar DeRozan and the flu-ridden Hedo Turkoglu. Despite an incredible display of effort and intensity particularly on the defensive end the Toronto Raptors fell short 97-96 in front of a sold-out Air Canada Centre crowd.
After three quarters things seemed stellar in Raptorland, particularly [...]
