Starting Power Forward: Jorge Garbajosa

Honorable Mentions: Reggie Evans, Matt Bonner

If Bryan Colangelo did one thing well, it was being a pioneer for the exposure of European talent. And although many players from Europe that he brought over ended up being busts, there was one player that was a pleasant surprise and deceptively good.

Jorge got the slight nod from Reggie Evans and Matt Bonner who were exciting in their own right.

Garbo was a Power Forward from Spain that stole the hearts of a Raptors fans during some of the Franchise’s darkest days.

He was one of the few stretch fours during this era. Raptors fan most likely remember the Spaniard for his big-time three point shots. The baskets consisted of high-set shot in which he barely got off the floor.

He was the perfect complement to Chris Bosh because as CB4 drew attention from the face-up, he would draw the defense which left wide open shots for Garbajosa.

Unfortunately he only had a brief stint with the Raptors because after playing 67 games in 2006-2007, he got injured the following season in which he only played 6 games.

Don’t worry Garbo, with your big time plays, you made many Raptor fans break out the salami and cheese on many occasions.
