While the temptation was great to finish this list with an accomplishment on the floor, this change in the executive suite was too important to ignore.

More from Raptors Rapture

Tim Leiweke moved to Toronto from Los Angeles, where he had headed up the enormous Anschutz Entertainment Group. He quickly decided to shake up the Raptors front office by demoting Bryan Colangelo. Leiweke then put a successful full-court press on Masai Ujiri, already employed as General Manager of the Denver Nuggets, to return to the Raptors as General Manager. His one-time boss, Colangelo, would report to him. Obviously that arrangement couldn’t work for long, and BC is now top dog in Philadelphia.

Leiweke declared his love for Toronto and Canada, then left town in October of 2015.

While Leiweke’s departure left a sour taste, he oversaw the upgrading of many aspects of the Raptors operations during his tenure. For one example, see #9. For another, Masai has stuck around and isn’t giving any hint of a desire to leave.

Apres moi, le deluge.  What highlight did I miss?  Which one is out of order?  I want to hear from you, Rapture Nation.  Comments please.
