Predicting The Makeup Of The Toronto Raptors In 2021
Wiggins rocks!
Playing in his home country re-ignited Wiggins’ career. Members of the media believed Wiggins to be damaged goods however, they were soon proven wrong. In his first full season with Toronto Wiggins averaged 21 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Wiggins and Leonard flourished together as a duo. The Canadian Swingman’s love for the spotlight and career rejuvenation allowed Kawai to quietly dominate and stay away from all the attention.
Not only were Toronto’s new duo elite scorers but they were also tremendous defenders. Leonard’s hustle, intensity, and drive proved contagious for Wiggins. After years of waiting Wiggins was now using his natural length, speed, and mobility to develop into a stellar defender.
The Raptors’ new star tandem gave fans and analysts flashbacks from the past. Whether it be Carter and McGrady or DeRozan and Lowry, it seems as though the Raptors will always have at least a tandem of stars.
Wiggins and Leonard rank near the top of Eastern Conference stars.
