2. Kawhi Leonard & Paul George

A two-time Finals MVP, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time NBA winner, and probably the best player in the NBA today, Kawhi Leonard has quite the resume at 28 years old. Now, he’s joined by Paul George, one of the fifteen best players in the NBA right now.

Leonard was the deciding factor as the Toronto Raptors won their first-ever NBA title, creating some of the greatest moments in franchise history. Leonard hit the first-ever Game 7 buzzer-beater in playoff history against the Philadelphia 76ers, taking the Raptors to the Eastern Conference Finals for only the second time.

His stay in Toronto didn’t last long, as Leonard took his talents back home to L.A. this offseason, teaming up with Paul George and joining the Los Angeles Clippers to immediately become one of the title-favourites in the NBA.

George and Leonard now represent the best wing duo in the NBA, capable of locking up anyone and scoring on the rest. George was an MVP contender last season but has never shown enough to be the number one option on a title-winning team. Now he doesn’t have to.

Together, the pairing of Leonard and George has more than enough talent to take the Clippers to their first-ever NBA title – just like Leonard was able to do with the Raptors.
