Nick Nurse was not kind to Terence Davis after the Toronto Raptors lost to the Portland Trailblazers the night before. However, he gave Davis a chance to redeem himself, something that rookies love as they are trying to prove themselves any chance they can get. Davis was inserted into the starting lineup and looked as comfortable as ever with the extra minutes.

He wasted little time in the first as he finished the quarter with 13 points and three rebounds as he tried to get the Raptors going early. The second quarter, however, was a different story for Davis as he was only able to muster one rebound and two assists, but the Raptors carried some momentum and they were up five heading into halftime.

The game remained close throughout the third as Davis was still struggling to score after his hot start. He finished the quarter with four points, one rebound, and two assists as the Raptors were up by one heading into the fourth. The Raptors desperately needed Davis’ offensive touch to return in the fourth, but unfortunately, he was still off as he finished the quarter with two rebounds and one assist as the Raptors needed overtime to close this game out.

Luckily for Toronto, Davis found his shot right when they needed it. He scored six points and added two more rebounds to give him the double-double as the Raptors squeezed out a two-point victory on the road.

Davis continues to shine as an undrafted rookie with the time that he gets on the floor. The Raptors know this and the fans are starting to realize as well, that Terence Davis is a solid building piece for the future.
