Starters Grades

A. Kyle Lowry came out, as per usual, looking like he was locked in. He was tossing dimes like no other and seemed to be doing a bit of everything throughout the night. In a game-high 32 minutes, Lowry put up 16 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, and five steals. Yes, five steals. The man was snatching the ball left, right, and center. He wasn’t too fancy with his game. Instead, he played it smart with his game and passes to create solid looks for himself and his teammates.. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors. KYLE LOWRY

FRED VANVLEET. C+. Fred VanVleet had an interesting night. He was clogging passing lanes and remaining grounded in his man-to-man defense throughout the night and came away with a pair of steals but seemed to struggle offensively. He shot 3-of-12 from the field to create eight points in the night. Despite all of this, VanVleet ended with a game-high +/- with +31. I’m sure Raptors fans and VanVleet alike will have their eyes focused on Tuesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks to see how the young guard can bounce back.. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors

A-. Serge Ibaka started off strong coming out with an 11 point first quarter. He slowed his offense substantially by finishing the night with 15 points but paired his double-digit points with a season-high 15 rebounds in the night. Ibaka was a dominant presence and was fighting for every one of his rebounds against a strong forward presence in the Pacers front-court. He needed only 24 minutes to have his presence be known and he made the most of it. The energy and force that he brought to the Raptors offence and defense was a big part of the team’s ability to put the game away early.. Center. Toronto Raptors. SERGE IBAKA
