No. 3: December 22, 2007, vs. Phoenix

Like the Warriors’ game, Bosh managed 42 points without recording an assist. Like the Golden State matchup, the Raptors lost, this time by 19 points. Why does this game get top priority? Because Bosh managed to do all of this in just over 33 minutes of fame action with a similarly iffy surrounding cast.

Bosh once again accomplished these numbers without shooting from deep much. Bosh made 10 of his 20 shots and 22 of his 24 free throws. Phoenix knew how the Raptors were going to attack them, and they were still unable to stop Bosh despite Shawn Marion and Amar’e Stoudemire.

Chris Bosh dominated the Suns, but lost the game.

However, Toronto didn’t give Bosh a ton of help. Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon combined for just five points, and Carlos Delfino’s 10 made him the only double-digit scorer off of the bench. After Bosh’s 42, Calderon had the second-highest total in this game for Toronto at 15.

As was so often the case, many immaculate nights from Bosh didn’t turn into victories thanks to the surroundings around him. Even with that, CB4 was so dominant at times that the Raptors could just give him the ball in half-court sets and let him work his magic. That strategy has proved to be very fruitful over the years.
