3 Raptors draft targets who could become the next Gary Trent Jr.

2. Jaden Hardy, G League
Hardy may have made the wrong decision to skip college and go to the G League. While the program did wonders for Dyson Daniels, Hardy’s extreme inefficiency and poor shot selection made him fall down the draft board to the point where some regard him as a second-round pick.
Hardy was shooting 35% against some of his team’s best competition, which could serve as a sign that he may be a ball-dominant shooter who will struggle to impact the game with fewer shot attempts. However, if he clicks, Toronto could steal at Top 5 talent at No. 33 overall.
Will the Toronto Raptors add Jaden Hardy?
Hardy is regarded as a sweet shooter and creative finisher that can score from a variety of angles with ease. Hardy jumps like he has springs in his shoes and could be a feared force blazing down the lane in transition. He’ll need to land in the right place in order to maximize his talents.
Hardy could fizzle put into nothing if used improperly, but landing in a place like Toronto might be just what he needs. Trent fixed his flaws immediately when he came to Toronto, and Hardy could be in for more of the same if Nick Nurse takes to him very early.
