NBA Playoffs Series Recap: Mavs Vs. Blazers

AUTHOR: | IN: Playoffs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Series Story:  The Mavericks ruined every trendy bloggers upset pick, beating the Blazers in six games and buying themselves some time before we all go back to calling them soft and calling out their lack of heart. How This Series Will Be Remembered:  Brandon Roy leading the Blazers to a magic comeback in Game Four. Series MVP (Blazers):  LaMarcus Aldridge. You could have given this to Brandon Roy, or Gerald Wallace but LaMarcus Aldridge kept the Blazers in this series. it was clear in the fourth quarter of Game Six when he went shot for shot with [...]

NBA Playoffs Series Recap: Hawks Vs. Magic

AUTHOR: | IN: Playoffs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Series Recap:  The Hawks exorcised their demons beating the Magic and heading to the second round for the second time in two years. How We Will Remember This Series:  As Dwight Howard’s potential last games with the Magic. The trade rumours are growing every day, and GM Otis Smith should realize that if Dwight leaves for nothing the Magic will be in the same place as the Raptors were this year. If Dwight refuses to resign in the summer, which I assume he will, his days in Orlando are probably finished. Series MVP (Magic):  Dwight Howard. For potentially [...]

NBA Playoffs Series Recap: Hornets Vs. Lakers

AUTHOR: | IN: Playoffs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Series Story:  The Lakers moved on while Chris Paul once again showed everyone how good he is at basketball. How We Will Remember This Series:  As Chris Paul’s return to being the best point guard in the NBA, because some people kind of forgot that he was Chris Paul seeing as he hasn’t been in the playoffs for awhile. Honorable Mention: Kobe’s ankle injury, because no one is really buying that. Series MVP (Hornets):  Aaron Gray. Just kidding. Series MVP (Lakers):  Andrew Bynum. While Gasol and Kobe get all of the hype Andrew Bynum is quietly becoming the Lakers most [...]

NBA Playoffs Series Recap: Thunder Vs. Nuggets

AUTHOR: | IN: Playoffs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Series Story:  The underdog Nuggets just couldn’t keep the magic in the playoffs losing to the Finals hopeful Thunder in five games. How We Will Remember This Series:  As a bloggers dream (#THUNDERNUGGETS) and a entertaining series that probably should have went more than five games. Honorable Mentions:  Kendrick Perkins goaltend in game one, Russell Westbrook’s questionable shot selection. Series MVP (Thunder):  Kevin Durant. His fourth quarter performance in Game Five closed out the series and showed his scary ability to close out games with his shooting and unguardable length. Westbrook may be a close second, but this [...]

Clutch Up: Gary Neal’s Game Tying Three

AUTHOR: | IN: Raptors | COMMENTS: None Yet

A few quick thoughts about this play: This was well defended, I mean they forced an off balance three to tie the game, that is the most you can do without forcing a turnover. Memphis’ home announcers absolutely KILLED the moment by giving no reaction to what was an insane play It is also nice to see Gary Neal on a highlight that doesn’t involve another man’s genitals in his face And here it is, Gary Neal everyone.

NBA Playoffs Series Recap: Bulls Vs. Pacers

AUTHOR: | IN: Playoffs | COMMENTS: None Yet

Series Story:  After a hard fought series filled series filled with plenty of drama, trash talk and hard fouls the Bulls finally finished off the pesky Pacers in five games. Series MVP (Bulls):  Derrick Rose. There is no question about it Derrick Rose will be the Bulls MVP from here on out, despite having off games he simply carried his team over the Pacers and his furious comeback in Game One would have been the best single player performance of the Opening Round if it wasn’t for Chris Paul and Brandon Roy. Series MVP (Pacers):  I really wanted to [...]
