team. 18.
The Celtics traded away their last remaining piece of their 2008 championship team. The man they traded away was Rajon Rondo. He was their captain , playmaker and most noticeable player. His future was written on the wall when the Celtics drafted point guard Marcus Smart. It was best for both parties that Rondo was dealt to Dallas as they both needed this divorce. Rondo wanted to play for contender and Danny Ainge wanted to continue with the rebuild.

The Celtics didn’t get robbed in this deal. Thet received solid young role players in Jae Crowder and Brendan Wright. They also acquired veteran point guard Jameer Nelson and draft picks. Nelson will be great for young guards like Marcus Smart and James Young. Surely the Celtics will miss Rondo’s 10.7 ast/g and his playmaking ability. Crowder and Wright should help the Celtics improve their ability to rebound as they rank 24th in the league with 44.1 reb/g. They did go three and one this week but the Celtics will have a tough road ahead of them.
. 10-15. . Boston Celtics. 21
