Trade

The curious case of Terrence Ross: I wrote a post about him a while ago. Even if I see similarities to Ray Allen, especially during Ray’s first years in the league, I’m disappointed about him. I was expecting much better from the Washington guard/forward.
Ross is averaging almost identical stats to last season (his 3pt percentage is worse now), and despite DeMar DeRozan’s absence for 21 games, he didn’t step up and make a difference for his team. Even the other ‘junior’ teammate, Jonas Valanciunas, despite his lack of playing due to coaching decisions, is showing he has improved. We cannot say the same for Ross.
I believed that Ross could be a future star in the NBA. Now, I don’t. I’m not buying that he can be something special (Ray Allen caliber). I’m afraid that the other GMs are thinking the same thing, so a potential trade could not give much of a return.
My opinion? Use his last solid performances and trade him (alone or as a “package” part) for a game-changer or a superstar to be (Wiggins is the name), not another good athlete with O.K. stats that might improve to be a solid player.
