Miami HEAT
Say Hello to: Justise Winslow, Amar’e Stoudemire, Gerald Green
Farewell: nobody!
’14-’15 record: 37-45
This team has a lot more questions than answers. Will Chris Bosh be healthy? Can Dwyane Wade fend off Father Time and the Injury Bug once again? Were Hassan Whiteside’s astonishing rebounding numbers a fluke? Is Justise Winslow the biggest sleeper of the draft?
Not all the answers need be positive for this team to make the playoffs. Goran Dragic is money in the bank at guard. Luol Deng knows how to play, as does Josh McRoberts. Coach Erik Spoelstra has two championship rings. Pat Riley is one of the three or four best NBA executives of all time.
I don’t see this team as making a giant leap, but they are certainly strong enough to flip around last year’s record.
