Position battles to come at Raptors training camp

Backup point guard
Depth Chart: Cory Joseph
Analysis: This may be a battle strictly in my head, as Cory should have the job locked up. But I can’t help wondering if Delon Wright will have something to say. He’s 23, which is old by today’s standards of NBA rookies, and less than a year younger than Cory. Delon came out of nowhere to leave a significant mark in his two years at Utah.
Cory has a huge advantage over Delon, both in NBA experience and because of his (relatively) advanced offensive skills. But Delon won’t back down to anyone as a defender. Certainly that’s a strength of Cory’s as well, and it will need to be.
Conclusion: Cory must be given the edge, but he better stay sharp.
