3. Schedule

To be very honest, I believe the Raptors are better than was to be expected based on the strength of their schedule so far.

They’ve already taken on, and beaten a re-emerging Paul George and the Indiana Pacers, the ageless Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, and the dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in OKC. They’ve also dropped a few heartbreakers against Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks and the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors and MVP Stephen Curry.

Another thing to note is that in 14 games played so far this season, the Raptors played ten on the road with one more coming on Sunday vs the L.A. Clippers. So far, the Raptors stand 8 games up and 6 down, and given the circumstances, that’s not too bad. And with the schedule shifting back to the North, the Raptors should be able to find more chemistry and rhythm.
