DeMarre Carroll and Jonas Valanciunas have both been out for about a month and they are sorely missed from the Raptors starting group. Their return may be the best gift Toronto could give to itself and its fans.
Valanciunas has been cleared for full contact in practice and is expected back soon. Carroll will return after Jonas, but the date is rapidly approaching. The team is taking its time with the injured starters and if they could both make a return before the New Year, you will see the holiday joy beam from the Raptors faithful while we all let out a coinciding ‘sigh’.

The Toronto Raptors have given us many gifts this year but the best one of all is having a competitive team year in and year out. Since the Raptors have been able to remain second in the NBA’s competitive Eastern Conference without their main core, the team has given much to be happy about this season.
