5 reasons Raptors fans can be optimistic for the playoffs

With MVP caliber Kyle Lowry and dynamic DeMar DeRozan running the show, opposing defenses will have their hands full. The opponents’ defenses will be locked in on controlling the duo with each possession, but they have done enough to prove that they will know what to do when the time comes. Be it a timely kick-out, attacking a switch, or making timely shots; they will do what’s best.
The all-star guards average 45.6 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 10.3 APG, 3.2 SPG, 12.8 FTM, and 44% from the field. You can’t ask much more from Lowry and DeRozan other than to give at least that much come playoff time. They each had duds last time around while the team crashed and burned, but this year feels a lot different, like they are about to get over the hill together while bringing the Raptors with them.

While DeRozan and Lowry have the ball, the supporting cast just needs to play defense and make enough shots around their averages to remain and move on as a ball club. As a whole, the Raptors have enough depth to counter any team, and with countless players currently on an upswing, the timing is perfect to strike and strike hard in April.
