With the team’s most successful season in franchise history officially in the books, the Toronto Raptors will need to think outside the box in order to retool for the 2016-17 season.

The Toronto Raptors have really outdone themselves this past season. A 56 win season, advancing past the first round for the first time in 15 years, and making the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time. But the focus now shifts from the players to Masai Ujiri as the front office looks to capitalize on a successful season.

The easiest decision in resigning head coach Dwane Casey has already been taken care of, officially making Casey the longest tenured coach in Raptors history. But with Bismack Biyombo opting for free agency and DeMar DeRozan poised to follow him, Ujiri will be hard pressed to duplicate the success from last season. Can the Raptors afford to keep their core, add two first round draft picks and potentially add a marquee name to their roster?

Here’s a best case scenario look at how Masai can be creative and build off of the momentum of this past season.
