Potential fit with the Raptors

Anunoby’s strengths and weaknesses are well-known to the draft community. The Raptors (who recently traded away one of their two late 1st rounders) have a decision to make if Anunoby drops to their pick with the assumption he declares.

By and large, the Toronto Raptors have been one of the NBA’s worst perimeter-defending teams in the past two years.

In fact, this forced Masai Ujiri to acquire swingman PJ Tucker from the Phoenix Suns in a trade-deadline deal. Carroll and Tucker are both well-recognized as Toronto’s two best defensive players despite both being on the wrong side of 30.
