Philadelphia 76ers

Season Series: Raptors won 3-1

Best Player: Joel Embiid

Watch Out For: Markelle Fultz(?)

This series could end up being the most difficult matchup out of them all. This team has size, shooting, and a wildcard that could change the outcome of where they stand as a team. The only thing holding back the 76ers is their lack of experience.

Joel Embiid is on his way to becoming a superstar in the NBA. He is a 7-foot center who can basically do everything with injuries being his only concern. His minutes’ restrictions will be less strict as playoffs come around giving Valanciunas his toughest opponent yet at center. Ben Simmons will also be a difficult matchup as the 6-10 point guard can take it himself or kick it out to an open shooter. Toronto has had success against the 76ers in regular season games, but Philly’s young talent and veteran leadership can take this team further than people think. The health of Markelle Fultz is also a huge factor regarding the success of this team. If he is cleared to play before the start of the playoffs and he plays like the #1 pick that we saw in Washington, Lowry could have his hands full.

This would be the most difficult matchup out of the four teams that I named. Containing one of the most skilled bigs in the NBA while focusing on a 6-10 guard is not an easy task. Not to mention, the shooting of Covington and Redick would be a big threat for Toronto to pay attention to. Given the fact that the Raptors also have shooters and two stars to lean on, this is a winnable series. However, the 76ers are not a team to take lightly.
