The end of the NBA regular season is right around the corner. What are the seven things the Toronto Raptors should focus on as the season winds down?
The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner with approximately a quarter of the season remaining.
The Toronto Raptors sit atop the Eastern Conference, holding a two-game lead over the Boston Celtics, as the battle for Eastern Conference supremacy figures to go right down to the wire. A brief look at Toronto’s schedule shows a relatively smooth path to the finish line, albeit with enough hurdles mixed in to cause issues if their collective play falters.
Of the remaining 21 games, Toronto will face both Cleveland (twice on the road) and Boston twice (once at home). Throw in visits from Houston & Oklahoma City in March, two teams who are also looking to dethrone a perennial conference bully, and there are plenty of pivotal moments and matchups to take note of.
Eleven games remaining at home, eleven more on the road, including away contests against potential first round opponents, Detroit & Miami, to finish the season.
Will they hold the #1 seed? Is that a must to have any real chance of taking the East from LeBron How will the bench transition to the playoffs?
And finally…does Dwane Casey need to consider swapping OG Anunoby out of the starting lineup?
Those and a few more thoughts as we approach the last quarter of the season.
