The matchup that Toronto has been waiting for all season is finally here. 88 games later the Toronto Raptors will look to avenge last season’s playoff sweep to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
So far this season, and this post-season, Toronto has been the considerably better team. But the Cavaliers have made three straight finals for a reason and the last time LeBron has missed the finals, the Raptors best player was Chris Bosh.
It’s a matchup that nearly did not take place. The Cavaliers needed seven games to beat the Indiana Pacers, and if it weren’t for a LeBron James buzzer-beater and a couple of historic performances (Okay LeBron historic performances are essentially expected at this point), the Raptors would have a different challenge standing between them and their elusive first NBA finals appearance.
