DeMar DeRozan has his name all over the Raptors record book. He’s the highest scorer in team history with 13,296 points, among many other distinctions. However, the most points scored by a Raptor in one game was 51, shared by Vince and Terrence Ross. DeMar needed overtime against the Milwaukee Bucks, but the record became his when he dropped 52 to nail down a win on New Year’s Day. Sure, he need 53 minutes rather than 48, but we’ll keep that our little secret, OK?

DeRozan won’t ever be listed as a great player until he hits long balls more regularly. That wasn’t a problem on this day, as he drained five. He also got to the rim consistently, and made every one of his 13 free throws.

Toronto needed all hands on deck in this game, as the Bucks were relentless. It all worked out, though, as the local fans were treated to a new team record, and a victory.
