Toronto Raptors: Chances of each player returning next season
DeMar DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan is a 28 year old, walking bucket who averaged 23 and five last year for one of the best offenses in the NBA. He also is signed to a $28 million dollar contract, and in a league that values three-point shooting and defense more than ever, provides very little of either of those things.
DeRozan is a very good player, for a brief period last season, he was even in the MVP discussion. Yet, serious questions remain whether DeMar’s skillset translates to the postseason.
From what has been shown so far, its fair to question if any DeMar DeRozan led team has a ceiling that is significantly below title contender. These factors will make it extremely difficult for Toronto to find equal value on the trade market.
The Raptors most realistic option is to bring DeRozan back next season and hope a player of his work ethic can add a feature or two to his game.
Chance of returning – 90 percent
Kyle Lowry
As it currently stands, Kyle Lowry is the best player on the Toronto Raptors. However, at age 32 with a $30 million dollar contract, the list of potential Lowry suitors is minimal.
The overlap of teams who want a 32 year-old point guard and those who have the space for a $30 million per year contract is basically non-existent.

With only a few bidders for his services and still an extremely high output level, expect Lowry to be back in a Raptors uniform next season.
