Question: Who/What kind of player would you like to see to in the final three roster spots?

Mark Birdsell:

Lorenzo Brown is signed to a partially guaranteed minimum contract, so assuming he makes the team, there are only two roster spots remaining.

NBA teams are required to carry a minimum of 14 players. Last season the Raptors only had 14 players and took advantage of their two-way players. Given the team’s current payroll, I think they will only carry 14 players again next season.

The Raptors need to add another big man. I think they should look to add Christian Wood. He is 6-foot-11 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan. Wood was named to the All-Summer League first team, averaging 20.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks. He has spent most of his career in the G-League. However, Wood is only 22 years old, with a quick first step, he is athletic and finish at the rim. The Raptors could also consider bringing back Lucas Nogueira.

Jordan Skuse:

Bring back Bebé. That’s all I care about.

Matt Stocco:

Two different types of players with the final three roster spots, another three-point shooter and another big 5 man.

For the three-point shooter, someone who can help space the floor, and be a threat coming off of the bench is always a good thing. This should play into the Raptor’s Nick Curse style offence that is coming with a new coach.

For the big man, what if the Raptors are playing a team like the Washington Wizards, and Dwight Howard ends up getting JV is early foul trouble? Well the Raptors could be in trouble. Having a back-up traditional center could help in situations where size could provide an advantage or maintain status-quo in a game.
