Anthony Parker (2007-2008): Backup Shooting Guard/ Versatile Wing

Is Anthony Parker won of the top 12 players ever to wear the Toronto Raptors uniform? Absolutely not. But he still makes our all-time roster, granted in a deep-reserve role.

Remember the goal of this team is to win actual games, and when assembling a team of all-stars, not everyone needs to be the number one option. Some player’s just need to play defense and space the floor. A role Anthony Parker will feel very comfortable taking.

During the 2007-2008 season played and started all 82 games, averaged 12.5 points per game on insane efficiency, and was arguably the second best player on the team, behind Chris Bosh.

Parker was an elite marksman from beyond the arc. During the 2007-2008 season he shot 43.8-percent from deep, while hoisting nearly four per game. The list of players this season who accomplished the same task with at least 15 games played: Otto Porter, Joe Ingles, Klay Thompson, and Reggie Bullock.

Parker was doing that back in 2007 with almost* no talent around him. Add him in today’s game with this star-studded supporting cast and who knows what his numbers would be.

There are more talented players than Parker who will not be making this list, but no player provides a better fit for this team than Parker.
