Jonas Valanciunas – A pair of clippers

Jonas Valanciunas makes more than $16 million per year. I know that for a fact. You can look it up. So why does he feel the need to save money by cutting his own hair? And if he’s not cutting his hair, who in the world is he paying for that job?

I really would like to meet that barber, a true finesse king. Someone who has clearly never picked a pair of scissors in their life, and yet they somehow have managed to consistently trick JV into that hack-job. Impressive.

JV looked fine with the buzz cut. It made him look a little meaner, which considering his bruiser skill-set, is far from a bad thing. Bring back buzz-cut JV or at least trim whatever is going on now.

P.S. Get better JV. We miss you.

Serge Ibaka – The gift of decision-making

Serge Ibaka is playing his best basketball in years. Yet, despite playing in his 10th NBA season, he still struggles with offensive decision-making.

Plays similar to this happen routinely to Ibaka who seems to over think the game at times. You’re a good three-point shooter — let it fly big fella!

It’s not only a hesitation to shoot, as Ibaka will miss the easy pass just as often. Effective decision-making has been a bugaboo of Ibaka’s throughout his career, and in year 10, it’s probably time to accept him for who he is. He has plenty of strengths to offset this one weakness but the gift of effective decision-making could make a major difference.
