Pascal Siakam

So, 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and two assists in the past three games for Pascal Siakam. That seems pretty normal, right?

Now, let’s take into account that this stat line came via some outrageous efficiency. Try an 82-percent true-shooting percentage across the final three games of the season, which to put it bluntly, is downright absurd and barely human.

Pascal’s minutes were pretty limited for the most part, he played less than 30 minutes against the Hornets and 17 minutes against the Timberwolves in the final game of the season. Some well deserved rest Siakam.

Against the Heat, though, Pascal found himself playing heavy minutes as the Raptors took the Miami Heat to overtime and came out on top.

Siakam scored a game-high 23 points on a casual 8-10 shooting night, heading to the line four times and hitting all four shots.

Games like this are becoming the norm for Siakam this season, he’s able to dictate his matchup nine out of ten times and the list of players that are capable of guarding him is shrinking as his offensive skill set grows.

What continues to grow is his confidence, that leads to the belief that he can make shots from all over the court, including this nice pull-up jump shot over Dario Saric.

It’s not something we’ve seen from Siakam much this season, most of his opportunities come from catch-and-shoot scenarios or attacking the rim.

Make whatever argument you want for Pascal Siakam to not win the Most Improved Player, but be prepared to eat your words in a few weeks when the awards are announced. For now, let’s just wait and see what Siakam does in the playoffs. I’m excited.
