The NBA Finals pits the Toronto Raptors against the dynasty, Golden State Warriors. While most pundits expect a Warriors victory, it is not impossible for Toronto to prevail. Here are four possible ways the NBA Finals plays out.

The Toronto Raptors are in the NBA Finals. This phrase will never get old, and for some fans, it still hasn’t sunk in. For a quarter of a century, the much-tortured franchise has finally punched their ticket to the Promised Land.

Their reward? A date with the unstoppable Golden State Warriors who could unceremoniously send them packing.

The Raptors are the feel-good story not just of the NBA, but of the sports world in 2019. This franchise endured repeat playoff failures, cold shoulders from both the media and NBA superstars, and a tumultuous offseason which saw their beloved star player and coach jettisoned.

Yet look at them now.

Led by Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors have already made history. But they looking to make even bigger history and they can only do that by dethroning the Warriors.

Oddsmakers have the Warriors at around -280 to win the NBA Finals, which implies a 73.6-percent probability. The mainstream media plus every fan outside Toronto expects Golden State to just brush aside the Raptors.

After all, LeBron James, the greatest player on the planet, only won one game against this team since they added Kevin Durant.

So what chance do these long-shots have?

The Raptors have more than just a feel-good narrative behind them. They have the best player in the series in Kawhi Leonard and the Warriors are not perfect.

While conventional wisdom dictates a Warriors’ victory in five or six games, there are many ways this series will play out. And all of them are plausible…..Hear us out.
