Toronto Raptors: Kawhi Leonard’s impact will remain even after he’s gone

Effect on Remaining Raptors Players
The run to the finals and everything that came with it will have an indelible effect on the Toronto Raptors players. Kawhi, and also Danny Green taught the Raptors players and the organization itself how to stay composed. They taught them how to prepare and how to push through adversity. They taught them how to believe in themselves at all times, and also how to enjoy the moment.
Players like Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, Fred VanVleet, and Norman Powell have all grown tremendously throughout this past season. Their championship experience will help them take the next step in their careers, and hopefully, help the Toronto Raptors get back to the promised land in the future. With a lot of the veterans all on expiring deals, those four may very well form the core of the team that the Raptors enter the 2021 season with.
The experience and emotional maturity developed by the Raptors should help them remain competitive this season if Masai Ujiri decides he wants to make a move or two in an effort to ‘run it back’.
Kawhi Leonard helped change not only the trajectory of the Toronto Raptors franchise and its players but Toronto basketball as a whole.
