Mike Scott

Mike Scott, despite some rather pedestrian career numbers versus the Toronto Raptors, has been a pain in the North’s [expletive] for years.

Scott has made several big shots over his 31 career appearances versus the dinos (playoffs included) and his trademark scowl has left many Raptor fans contemplating the risk/reward associated with throwing remotes through TVs. We’re a passionate bunch, what can I say?

Scott has, twice, dropped 20 points on Toronto. Although, most importantly, one of those performances did come in the playoffs.

The 6-foot-8 power forward has found a high degree of success against the Raptors in his time in the NBA, often enjoying wide-open shots when his team would square off with Toronto. Under Dwane Casey, the Raptors had problems containing the dribble and would often give up copious amounts of uncontested threes as a result — Mike Scott was a benefactor of this reality.

While his overall numbers are far from superstar or Hall of Fame consideration, Scott’s timely dominance of the Raptors has resulted in many unfavourable outcomes for the now defending champs. And now, after re-signing with the Philadelphia 76ers, Raptor fans better get used to seeing more of Scott in 2019-20, and beyond.

And thus ends this hit list of killers…I hope you enjoyed what was a cringe-worthy walk down memory lane, and I look forward to reading the comments and seeing all the other players you felt should’ve made it.

Much love.
