6. Mike Conley & Rudy Gobert

What makes this duo so interesting is that it really could have been a toss-up between Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley or Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. Either way, Gobert is the best player on this team and the Utah Jazz are going to be a dangerous team this year.

Gobert is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and the anchor of one of the best defensive teams league, while Conley has been consistently one of the best point guards in the NBA for the last several years.

The duo of Gobert and Conley commands attention on both sides of the ball, even if Gobert isn’t the most versatile of offensive players. He still averaged 70-percent from inside the paint last season and remains one of the best rim protectors in the league – either side of the ball, the seven-foot Frenchman is a presence around the rim.

Conley is able to dissect teams in the pick-and-roll, knock down from three and attack the rim. As the leading option for the Memphis Grizzlies, Conley averaged a career-high 21.1 points per game, shooting with a 50-percent effective field-goal percentage.

Now on the Utah Jazz, Conley is with an elite center once again, with a great team around him. The Jazz have their star point guard and one of the best two-way duos in the league.
