4. Fred VanVleet

I hate to admit this one, but having Fred VanVleet on the list is partly ego-driven. He’s the smallest guy on the team at six-feet nothing, so, at five-ten, I wouldn’t feel like a complete outlier compared to taller guys like I would with Gasol or Ibaka.

Not everyone is necessarily going to have that problem, but for me, it’s a selling point.

Going beyond the superficial, VanVleet is a special type of NBA player.

Throughout his whole basketball career, he’s been overlooked and under-valued, so I guarantee you he’s not full of himself. With his whole “bet on yourself” mantra, VanVleet is sure to have some pretty inspiring pre-party speeches.

Just like Davis, VanVleet was also a four-year college player. He’ll understand the college life and definitely has some high-quality stories from his time at Wichita State.

He’s on the more low-key side of things, which is usually a pretty good thing. Not that he can’t get at it, because I’m sure he can. Remember, he was in college for four years…

Regardless, VanVleet’s more relaxed demeanour means less nonsense and noise around the party. That makes the partying a little more intimate.

VanVleet’s nights out probably look a lot like his seasons do. He’ll start out pretty slow at the pre, wait to get going and head to whatever function you’re going to and once there, there’s no looking back and you’ve got yourself in for a pretty solid night.

An added benefit of partying with VanVleet is his (very) slight resemblance to the “6ix God” which might get some extra perks throughout the night.

Ideal Party Scenario: Booth in the back corner of a more low-key club or lounge
