Home for the Holidays

The Toronto Raptors will have 11 games at home in the month of December, three more than they had the previous month. The team has two different three-game homestands during the month and have home back-to-backs on two different occasions.

The Raptors play at home is strong again this season, as they have an 8-0 record coming into the month. Having 11 of 16 games at home in December is sure to contribute to some level of improved play from the team. The team has shot 48-percent at home, scoring an additional ten points per game.

One of the Raptors’ home games is a Christmas Day matchup against the Boston Celtics. They also play the Celtics the game before and will have played three out of their four-game series by the end of the month. Boston won the first matchup 112-106.

Much has and will change by the game on Christmas day and both teams will want to prove that they’re legitimate contenders to a national audience. The Christmas game will hopefully give Raptor fans the present of a win to elevate their mood on the holiday.

The amount of home games this month in combination with the Raptors level of in their own arena, gives them the opportunity to get together a string of wins. A couple of solid win streaks will surely help the team keep up with, and possibly separate themselves, in the conference standings.

Along with playing at home, the Raptors will also receive some help from familiar faces.
