The Miami Heat has played like one of the best teams in the league since acquiring Jimmy Butler over the offseason and that continued in a big, big way on Thursday. The Heat locked down and completely decimated the Toronto Raptors offense. Butler, Jones Jr., and even Herro were extremely active in committing hard to keeping one foot in the pain but lunging out with quick bursts of energy to contest every Toronto 3-point shot. The Heat forced the Raptors into a putrid 31.5-percent shooting performance from the field and 14.3-percent from the 3-point line. Toronto scored 76 points, more than 34 points below their season average. Miami is now 9-0 after a loss and 16-1 at home on the season. Their offensive versatility—with Butler and Nunn being able to act as point guards as they did on Thursday with a combined 16 assists—and ridiculous group of lanky defenders (including possible first-time All-Star Adebayo) will make them a tough out in the Eastern Conference playoffs and perhaps much more.. (25-9). Eastern Conference. MIAMI HEAT. A+
