5. vs Los Angeles Lakers – Tuesday, March 24

The ramifications of this game aren’t on the same level of significance as the rest of the games on this list, but any game against LeBron James is a big deal for the Toronto Raptors. The Lakers currently sit atop of the Western Conference, destroying everyone in their path.

That’s pretty much the story of LeBron James’ career until now, he has been on the warpath since arriving into the league in 2003. Routinely, the Toronto Raptors have been on the end of those beatdowns. Unfortunately, they frequently took place in the playoffs.

As a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, James bumped the Toronto Raptors out of the playoffs three years in a row. First, in the Raptors first appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals, and then two successive years in the second round – with two successive sweeps.

Those were dark times to be a Raptors fan, even if the regular season proved to be a promising time.

Now, LeBron is a member of the Lakers and they looked poised to make a run at the title after a miserable first season with James last year. Earlier in the season, the Toronto Raptors won the first match between the two teams in L.A., and this game has all the makings of a high-octane affair.

Pascal Siakam vs Anthony Davis, two of the best power forwards in the league going head-to-head. And of course, the Raptors look to get one over the King again.
