Bench Grades

Shooting Guard. Toronto Raptors. NORMAN POWELL. C+. Norm Powell needed 11 shots to score seven points, not exactly up to the standard he’s set for himself since returning from injury. Did manage to extend his streak of double-digit games to eight. Even in a poor outing, it was easy to be encouraged by Powell’s play because he continues to make good decisions with the ball more often than not. Considering how close Powell was to Bryant (the two trained together this past offseason), he must’ve been fighting it all game long, as was everybody in attendance.

SERGE IBAKA. B+. Miraculously, Ibaka had zero rebounds in Toronto’s win over the Knicks, but he grabbed 10 rebounds in Texas, to go along with 12 points. Missed his only three-point attempt, but went 6-12 from inside the arc and has now gone three games in a row shooting 50 percent or better from the field.. Center. Toronto Raptors

C. Davis hit three of six from beyond the arc but finished -13 (worst on the team) in 12 minutes of action. The rookie continues to find himself in foul trouble this season and while some calls can be attributed to him not getting the benefit of the doubt, Davis does have some growing up to do, especially on the defensive side of things. Not one of his finest efforts, but Davis’ ceiling is no worse for wear.. Shooting Guard. Toronto Raptors. TERENCE DAVIS

Toronto Raptors. RONDAE HOLLIS-JEFFERSON. Inc.. Hollis-Jefferson played six minutes before rolling his ankle. He was unable to return and appears set to miss some time with what looks to be a sprained ankle.. Power Forward
