As the trade deadline nears closer, here’s a guide to the Toronto Raptors and everything you need to know about what they could be doing.

Apart from the beginning of free agency, the NBA’s trade deadline clocks in as one of the most anticipated events on the NBA calendar – that doesn’t involve basketball being played, at least. For the Toronto Raptors, it’s a period that could define their season.

The Raptors sit with a record of 36-14 and are riding an 11-game winning streak and looking to set a franchise record for most wins in a row with 12 when they take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

That could be the last time we see this team as it is, with the trade deadline approaching just one day after. The Raptors sit second in the Eastern Conference – something that didn’t seem particularly possible to start the season – and it’s pretty easy to buy into them making their way to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second successive year.

Could they do it with a different roster, though?

Last year, the Raptors acquired Marc Gasol at the deadline in a blockbuster move, and one that put the team over the edge. This year could be the same or it could swing in the opposite direction with a quiet deadline.

With the deadline fast approaching, here’s everything you need to know about what the Toronto Raptors could be up to.
