Head Coach and Opponent

Head Coach. Toronto Raptors. NICK NURSE. C. Nick Nurse was no doubt ready for this to be a “trap game,” having played the Brooklyn Nets so recently (February 8) and coming into the Barclays Center with Toronto riding a 15-game win streak. Nurse stuck with his usual rotation, though it was basically an eight-man rotation with Boucher playing nine minutes. He wasn’t playing well at all but with the Raptors so small, sans <a href=

A-. The Brooklyn Nets got a great grade because of the physicality they played with. They finished with a +6 advantage in offensive rebounds, +13 in total rebounds, and +12 in points in the paint. They clearly wanted to win this game, likely still steaming over their Saturday night loss to the Raptors in Toronto in which the Nets squandered a career-high 37 points from Caris LeVert. In Wednesday’s win, LeVert went for a very old-school 20 points (10-for-20 from the field, no 3-point makes) and was supported by an overall aggressive offensive performance from his team (20-for-25 from the free-throw line). The Nets played like a team that wanted to prove they could hang with a team that has given them fits for quite some time, and for one night, they did that and more in a 101-91 win.. (25-28).
