Malcolm Miller

With just one year left on his deal, Malcolm Miller is the first player on this list who could be out of the door at the end of the season. At 26 years old, Miller is in his third season with the Toronto Raptors in the NBA and is still yet to solidify himself as a part of the team’s rotation.

In three seasons, Miller has played 50 games for the Raptors, starting in five of them – including one contest this season against the Portland Trail Blazers. Even then, Miller only played 7:26 of the game, taking just one shot in that time.

Injuries have been an issue for Miller over the last few seasons, and that has, of course, derailed his progress with the team. When he’s healthy and playing, Miller is a more than capable 3-and-D guy. He’s shot 39-percent from three over the course of his career – albeit on a small sample size – and he’s comfortable guarding multiple positions.

That’s good, and just what the NBA is looking for, but his time with the Raptors is potentially drawing to a close. Miller needs to be playing basketball consistently if he wants to improve, and with the Raptors having a host of wing players at their disposal – all of whom are ahead of Miller in the pecking order – it doesn’t look particularly promising.

Miller could find a pretty solid rotational role elsewhere in the NBA, but with just 25 appearances for the Raptors this season and averaging a mere five minutes a game – the lowest mark of his career – it’s safe to say he could be on his way out in a few months time.
