1. Norman Powell – SF/SG – 26 years old

Finally at my number one spot I have Norman Powell, and wow… just wow. It was kind of a weird season for Powell in a sense that he was having a terrific year maybe even an MIP type of year (most improved player), but injuries struck Powell multiple times this season and it was a heart breaker.

2019-20 stats – 44 GP – 16.4 PPG – 3.6 RPG – 1.8 APG – .502 FG% – .398 3P% – .838 FT%

Powell was having himself a career year in every major statistical category except one, however injuries kept slowing him down. A lot of people, myself included were always wondering when Norman Powell would have his breakout year and emerge himself as a talented player in the league. Well that year was this year however it was cut short multiple times. (Stats from NBA.com)

Norman Powell was always known for his role off the bench for this team but with the Toronto Raptors hit by countless injuries this season everyone had a different role at one time or another throughout the season. It looked like the more minutes you gave Powell the more you will get out of him, with him averaging 16.4 PPG / 3.6 RPG / 1.8 APG this season that is a huge sign of growth and development from last year where he averaged 8.6 PPG / 2.3 RPG / 1.5 APG.
